Synaxe Services: frequently asked questions

Synaxe Services is Synaxe's Data & AI consulting and expertise business. This page answers the questions most often asked by companies and public organisations that want to collect, use and get value from their data: offer, sectors, method, artificial intelligence, automation, governance and ways of working.

Understanding Synaxe Services

What is Synaxe Services?

Synaxe Services is Synaxe's business dedicated to data and artificial intelligence projects. It supports organisations at every stage of the data value chain: acquisition, operation and activation. Synaxe is a French software publisher and Data & AI services company, founded on 5 October 2000 in Paris.

What is the difference between Synaxe Services and Synaxe software?

Synaxe publishes two software platforms: the Dune Suite for materials production sites and Aircharge for aircraft fuelling. Synaxe Services is the consulting and custom delivery business: it works on clients' data and AI projects, whether or not they use Synaxe software. Both businesses share the same technical teams and the same knowledge of industrial operations.

How experienced is Synaxe Services?

Synaxe has supported its clients for more than twenty years. The team has more than 20 people, more than 40 clients and an NPS of 9 out of 10 in 2024. It brings together data engineers, data scientists, developers and automation engineers. References include Colas, Heidelberg Materials, ArcelorMittal, Groupe ADP, Air France and BNP Paribas.

Why use an external partner for data projects?

Data projects often fail for lack of in-house skills: according to Gartner (2020), 85% of data science projects fail; according to OPIIEC (2023), 78% of companies struggle to hire big data and cloud experts; according to Seagate and IDC (2022), companies use on average only 57% of the data they collect. Synaxe Services brings these scarce skills and a proven method.

What sets Synaxe Services apart from a generalist IT services firm?

Four things: focused sector expertise (construction, public sector, aviation, finance); a software publisher's DNA that keeps consulting close to product and field reality; a human-sized firm with a dedicated contact for each client; and a rare combination of data and industrial automation skills.

Our offer

What services does Synaxe Services offer?

The offer is built on three pillars. Acquire: BIM, automation, IoT and data sourcing. Operate: data management, data governance, data infrastructure, data security and BI optimisation. Activate: data science, data analytics, machine learning and generative AI.

What does the “Acquire” pillar cover?

It is about having reliable data at the source. Synaxe models your buildings in BIM, automates your industrial and logistics processes to collect real-time data, deploys IoT sensors to monitor equipment and environments, and identifies the internal or external data useful to your business.

What does the “Operate” pillar cover?

It is about managing and securing data. Synaxe defines your data management strategy, sets up governance (rules, roles, responsibilities), designs a scalable data infrastructure, protects sensitive data and deploys Business Intelligence tools and dashboards tailored to your key indicators.

What does the “Activate” pillar cover?

It is about turning data into decisions. Synaxe analyses your data to detect trends and weak signals, builds predictive models, develops machine learning algorithms to automate complex tasks and applies generative AI to concrete use cases.

What kinds of projects does Synaxe Services deliver?

Digitising industrial infrastructure, structuring data platforms, BI architectures, large-scale IoT environments, deploying AI and predictive models, modernising or migrating data infrastructure, master data management (MDM) and data quality management (DQM), performance dashboards.

Does Synaxe Services work on generative AI?

Yes. Generative AI is part of the “Activate” pillar. Synaxe identifies relevant use cases with you, prepares the necessary data and integrates the models into your processes. The team draws on its experience as a software publisher: Aircharge, for example, is an AI-native platform with an MCP server that connects AI agents to activity data.

Does Synaxe Services provide automation engineers?

Yes, it is a distinctive strength. Synaxe has offered automation services since 2009. According to an internal Synaxe study, 7 out of 10 production sites struggle to collect their production data for lack of automation engineers. The teams design, develop and deploy automation and supervision solutions, from design to commissioning.

Which technology partners does Synaxe work with?

Synaxe works with specialists in data visualisation, cloud environments, ETL and data pipelines, as well as with the startup and SME ecosystem. These partnerships make it possible to choose the right technology for each context rather than impose a single tool.

Sectors

Which sectors does Synaxe Services work in?

Synaxe Services works mainly in four sectors: construction and materials, the public sector, aviation and financial services (banking and insurance). These are regulated, specialised industries where business knowledge determines the success of data projects. The team supports organisations of every size, whatever their data maturity.

What does Synaxe Services do for construction?

Synaxe helps construction companies collect and use data from their job sites, production sites and buildings: automation experts, data governance and BIM, project performance reporting (cost, schedule, quality), risk management and site safety, data visualisation and predictive analytics, training and change management.

What does Synaxe Services do for the public sector?

Synaxe helps public institutions get value from their information assets: industrialising business processes, data governance and quality (MDM/DQM), performance reporting and management, data security and fraud prevention, opening public data (open data), data visualisation and data science.

What does Synaxe Services do for banking and insurance?

Synaxe helps banks and insurers control risk and solvency through data: process automation, data governance and quality, reporting and performance management (HR, sales, networks, marketing, risk, profitability, international), data-driven marketing, regulatory compliance, risk management and fraud detection.

What does Synaxe Services do for aviation?

Synaxe helps airports, airlines and suppliers collect and use their data: aircraft fuelling, energy consumption, movements on the apron. This expertise builds on more than twenty-five years in aircraft fuelling at Paris-CDG and on the Aircharge platform.

Does Synaxe Services work with SMEs?

Yes. Synaxe works with organisations of every size, from large groups to SMEs and local authorities. Any organisation that wants to make better use of its data, whatever its maturity, can rely on Synaxe Services.

Method and collaboration

How does an engagement with Synaxe Services work?

The Synaxe method has four steps: audit of your practices, proposal of the best-fit solution, set-up and configuration, then support from a dedicated contact. Our teams integrate into your organisation to ensure smooth collaboration and build the skills of your in-house teams.

What values guide Synaxe teams?

Excellence, responsiveness, pragmatism, team spirit, candour and flexibility. In practice: people selected for your sector, visible results quickly, measurable rather than theoretical solutions, full transparency in our advice and the ability to adapt when the context of an engagement changes.

How does Synaxe ensure data security?

Data security is an integral part of the “Operate” pillar: strict access management, protection against internal and external threats, governance defining responsibilities, and regulatory compliance. For its own industrial equipment, such as the Aircharge Controller box, Synaxe applies the recommendations of ANSSI, the French national cybersecurity agency.

Does Synaxe Services support change management?

Yes. A data project only succeeds if the tools are adopted. Synaxe raises awareness and trains teams on new technologies and data tools, and transfers its skills to your in-house teams throughout the engagement.

Is Synaxe committed to responsible digital practices?

Yes. Synaxe has joined the French Responsible Digital Label (Label Numérique Responsable) process, with practices that reduce the environmental impact of digital technology and actions that support digital inclusion and the employability of its staff.

Is Synaxe Services hiring?

Yes. The team grows regularly. Openings are listed in the “We are hiring” section of the “Who are we?” page on synaxe.com.
